- Acting for Two:
- In the Japanese version, Emi and Yumi are both played by Mika Kanai.
- In the English dub, Lisa Ortiz voices twins Emi and Yumi and Empress Azalyn.
- The Other Darrin: In the Latin American Spanish dub:
- Carlos Íñigo substituted for Gabriel Gama, Tylor's regular voice actor, for episodes 5 through 7.
- When Rakuram Do Donan first appeared in episode 6, he was voiced by Alfonso Mellado. For his second appearance in episode 13, he was voiced by Raúl de la Fuente.
- Playing Against Type: Crispin Freeman. No, he doesn't voice the incredibly badass Andressen or Cryborne. He's Tylor. Justy-fied because this show was his first lead role (Zelgadis is a supporting character), so his acting type hadn't been defined yet.
- Real-Life Relative: In the Latin American Spanish dub, Rocío Prado voiced Kim and her daughter Christine Byrd voiced Yumi.
- Studio Hop: The TV series was animated by Tatsunoko Production. The two-part "An Exceptional Episode" was produced by Daume, with Studio DEEN taking over production for the 1995 OVA.
- Technology Marches On: The setting's mostly futuristic, but there are some blips of older technology showing here and there, namely a VHS tape of a pornographic movie in episode 20.
