  • Accidentally-Correct Writing: The author's note for Chapter 2 reveals that the fight against Bad Sneakers taking place in a public bathroom was not intended to be a reference to the Running Gag in part 3 where Polnareff continuously ended up being attacked while on the john, and that Edgy Ella only realized what she was doing halfway through writing the chapter. Of course, after that, she decided to play it up by adding the scene of Michelle almost dunking her arm in the toilet.
  • Alternative Character Interpretation: Invoked with Giorno. To quote the author's notes for Chapter 1:
Edgy Ella: When writing [Giorno] here, I wanted to revamp his personality a little bit. Purple Haze Feedback establishes that Passione thrives under Giorno’s reign far better than it did under Diavolo’s, so I got the idea of an adult Giorno being a perfectionist and maybe a bit of a control freak. He’s someone who’s used to doing things quickly, efficiently, and his way, no questions asked. So when you take that away from him and put him in a spot vulnerability, he gets anxious and irritable.
  • Author Appeal: This bit from the Chapter 7 author's note:
Edgy Ella: Trust me it is absolutely essential that Sara mentions how buff Polnareff is trust me guys I’m the author I would know 🙏
  • Descended Creator: The author voices the VP of the Supernatural Research Department in pierces.exe_11012006.
  • Door Stopper: In the making. Chapters can range from anywhere from 3,000 to 10,000 words each, and according to the author, there will be at least 50 chapters. An old calculation of the total word count clocked in at 450,000 words.
  • Fandom Nod: Subverted. It's a common headcanon to have Polnareff name any potential daughters "Sherry/Cherie" after his sister, but while Michelle isn't named after her, the nickname that Sara gives her, "Chelly," was chosen to appease these fans.
  • Friendly Fandoms: As Iron Touch is partnered with JoJo's Bizarre Fanworks, there's a lot of overlap between it and the other partnered parts there, namely ASAP Mob Feedback, Bone to Blades, City Living, JoJopolis, and The Lighted Stage among others.
  • Line to God: Both the official Tumblr and Discord server have places to ask questions directly to the author about.
  • Trolling Creator: In the author's note for Chapter 8, Edgy Ella says that the "Incredibly Obvious Foreshadowing™ begins now."
  • What Could Have Been: The official Tumblr mentions a few cut scenes, fights, and story elements in the author's notes, as well as beta names for most of the characters.
    • Rumor's Stand, The Chain, was originally going to have the ability to disable Stands entirely, but this was changed for being too overpowered and too similar to how the Masquerader masks work.
    • Marylou (Michelle's mother) was originally named Catherine. It's currently unknown what the music reference for this name is, if there is any.
      • Initially, she would have died by falling down a flight of stairs (to reference Polnareff's two famous staircase battles. This was changed because it ended up coming across as more funny than tragic.
    • Owing to the Accidentally-Correct Writing above, Bad Sneakers' user was originally going to be a man before the setting of the fight shifted to a women's restroom.
    • Chapter 7 was originally going to have a scene where the group got pulled over by border control when first entering Belgium, forcing them to hide Michelle under Sara's luggage. This was removed after the author learned about the Schengen Area.
      • Additionally, what's now posted as Chapter 7 was two separate chapters in the first outline with Rumor's introductory fight scene set between them. The fight would have been against a Belgian chef that would have tried to poison Michelle's food because he was "just very racist against French people."
    • Chapter 30 was originally written to take place from Boney's POV, but ended up taking place from the POV of a new character who Boney kills at the end of the chapter.
  • Working Title: "cringe ass nae nae fic," or otherwise just "nae nae fic." It's even mentioned in the opening notes for the first chapter. Because of Memetic Mutation, the nickname stuck around.
