• Dawson Casting: Inverted. Gleeson is far younger than Churchill was, so the make-up team had to age him up a bit.
• Fake Nationality: A lot of the cast. Brendan Gleeson is an Irishman portraying the Englishman Churchill; the actor who portrays FDR is actually Canadian; the King of England is portrayed by Iain Glen, a Scot; India-born Englishman Ismay is portrayed by a Welshman; and Clement Attlee is played by another Scot, Bill Paterson.
