  • Money, Dear Boy: When Games Workshop decided to create a fiction line spun off from their Tabletop Games, they recruited then-editor of Interzone David Pringle to edit it, and he in turn recruited a number of Interzone contributors, including Kim Newman, Brian Stableford, and Ian Watson, to write the books. Most of them apparently enjoyed themselves, and the resulting stories were probably better than they absolutely needed to be, but it was generally acknowledged that everyone involved was in it primarily for GW's generous budget.
