• Deleted Scene: A couple of trims were made to the episode:
  • Before David sees the appliances moving by themselves, he finds a note from Maureen's ghost.This was cut for time.
  • In the scene where Maureen has to help David in the toilet, a moment was cut where David has an aroused expression on his face. This was cut as it was felt it was inappropriate for broadcast. One of the writers posted a screenshot from the deleted moment on his Twitter.
• Spoiled by the Cast List: Averted. Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith had no character names listed and no images of the pair were released prior to broadcast. Sarah Solemani and David Bamber were kept out of the press releases altogether to keep the secret. Given this aired a full year after it was filmed, it's all the more impressive.
