• Screwed by the Network: Not even a week after it was initially posted, Green_Phantom_Queen declared the story non-canon and wrote her own interpretation of it, without informing ShadyMissionary about it beyond saying she didn't like it. Ultimately the backlash got it un-screwed and rendered the canonical ending with Thistle being deleted.
• Shrug of God: The canonicity of the epilogue is a bit of a matter of debate. Green_Phantom_Queen not only considers it non-canon, but even wrote Fury of Thistle to serve as a canonical counterpart to it. Meanwhile, Crossoverpairinglover considers Thistle non-canon, and that Achilles is the true ending for Parker. Ultimately the ending was decided with Thistle being deleted.
• Streisand Effect: The oneshot got a lot more attention the moment that Green decided she didn't like it and wrote a replacement for it that by all regards was far worse and doubled down on every bad trope in the 'verse.
