Trivia / Inferi

Go To

  • Creator Backlash: Malcolm strongly dislikes Divinity in War; while his main beef is with the production, he also feels that it is just not a good album, and certainly not an album that is even close to being reflective of the band now. He has waffled a bit over the years on whether he wants to remix and remaster it eventually just to throw a bone to the really old fans, but his current stance is a firm "absolutely not".
  • Executive Meddling: Their almost-was stint with Sumerian Records never happened because of this. Unlike their friends in Enfold Darkness, the label wanted to impose a significant amount of changes and demanded control over their musical direction and image in addition to wanting them to change their name. The band told them to pound sand, but the damage was done and they broke up within the year.
  • Promoted Fanboy: Stevie was a longtime fan of the band and counted The End of an Era as one of his favorite albums of all time long before he joined.
  • Sleeper Hit: Let's face it, no one was expecting The Path of Apotheosis to take off the way it did, let alone to the point where it gave the band a reason to play shows and tour, and about as many people were expecting The Artisan Era to turn into a legitimate up-and-coming label rather than just a vehicle for Inferi, A Loathing Requiem, and Enfold Darkness.
