Trivia / Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb

Go To

  • Creator Backlash: Hal Barwood, designer and writer of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, made some suggestions during the development of Emperor's Tomb; the idea of Nazis roaming China never impressed him at all (though Germany and China did have strong relations during the time). However, the team went on its own way and Barwood felt really disappointed with the finished product.
  • The Other Darrin: Neither Indy nor Wu Han are voiced by their original actors. David Esch stands in as Harrison Ford's voice double (again), while Alan Drevin replaces David Yip.
  • Role Reprise: In the French and German versions of the game, however, Indy is voiced by the actors also responsible for dubbing Harrison Ford for the films. (Although his French voice actor only took over from Last Crusade onwards, Indy being dubbed by a different actor for each film of the original trilogy.)
  • What Could Have Been: Abner Ravenwood, Marion Ravenwood's unseen father from Raiders of the Lost Ark, was going to be Indy's partner throughout the game, with some concept art depicting him as Tom Selleck being produced, but was scrapped when his design proved to be too unwieldy, resulting in him being replaced by Mei Ying, making this game yet another Indiana Jones project in which Abner Ravenwood almost appeared only for his appearance to be dropped.
