• The Danza: Kathy Najimy as Kathy Lane.
• Life Imitates Art: The Cat derides the idea of a Dr. Seuss theme park: "Today, the media snooping around. Tomorrow... Seuss World. Ride Horton the Elephant! Eat a Grinch burger! Uh-uh, oh, no, ma'am." In reality, Seuss Landing opened at Universal's Islands of Adventure in 1999, and though it does not include a Horton ride, it does have a Cat in the Hat ride.
• The Other Darrin: Frank Welker voices Horton and Mayzie in the Horton Hatches the Egg segment instead of Kent Rogers and Sara Berner. He also replaced Knox Manning as the Hitler Lives narrator.
• Real-Life Relative: During the "Cat in the Hat" reading, Robin Williams' daughter Zelda played one of the girls he was reading to.
