• Banned in China: The episode "Happy Fun Metal Rock Time" was banned in Japan for similar reasons as "The Simpsons" episode "Thirty Minutes Over Tokyo" as it depicts a wacky Japanese gameshow and makes fun of certain subcultures.
• The Cast Showoff: Steve Valentine, much like Derek, is an incredibly skilled magician, and has shown off his skills as one in multiple episodes.
• Dueling Shows: With Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush, though since it is Nickelodeon and Disney XD is a digital cable network in most markets, the duel is pretty one-sided.
  • Fun fact: The pilot episode, "Weasels in the House", aired on Black Friday of 2009, then Big Time Rush had its first episode (which was a two-parter) the next day. Later, both had their second episode on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in 2010.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Unfortunately, after the show got canceled in 2011, it's pretty hard to find the series especially online. It's not even on Disney+ (well, not yet, anyways...), and the only way to watch I'm in the Band legally is on iTunes in America and Prime Video in the UK. There are full episodes on YouTube but it was edited to avoid copyright strikes. Unfortunately, if you don't have iTunes, you're out of luck and there are a bunch of clips, some behind the scenes, and some soundtracks scattered around in YouTube or any online websites. It doesn't even have a DVD release, and not one episode was included in any compilation DVDs either.
