• Creator's Favorite: Vicky/Blue is unashamedly the author’s favorite character in the series, so it makes sense that she is one of the series’ protagonists.

  • The second artist has a Liam/Vicky ask blog.
• What Could Have Been: As revealed by a Q&A livestream on January 10, 2021, when in the planning phases for the original story in 2018, Vicky's love interest was going to be Liam.
  • Originally, Vicky's mad scientist parent was going to be a man, and was written as such in the author’s earliest Monster Prom fanfic. She wanted to see more mom representation, as well as subvert typical mad scientist stereotypes.
  • The author also originally thought of making a gender-bent monster prom ask blog before deciding on having one centered around a couple Post!Spooky High days.
  • Miranda was going to be the third love interest for Polly and Vicky's relationship. It was decided that Isis would be a better fit.
  • The author felt that it would be an unhealthy power dynamic if Polly and Vicky's relationship therapist were to get into a relationship with them.
• Write What You Know: The series as a whole is about recovering from trauma, something that, while never having been murdered, the author is more than familiar with. She's also written Vicky suffering from an anxiety disorder and engaging in Self-Harm in one of the series' short stories, Stitching Things Up.
