- Originally, the comic was put on a one-month hiatus in June of 2020. Due to some of the staff leaving (including Andrew Hussie himself) it was extended by July.
- After Christmas 2020, the comic is put into an indefinite hiatus that was planned to end only when the comic is finished. The Patreon was also archived, with all exclusive updates now totally public, no more new patrons being accepted, and all currently-existing patrons no longer being charged. The reasons for this include dissatisfaction and fandom hostility. Said hiatus ended on October 2023 with a new update and James Roach' announcement that he and a new team were resuming the comic.
