• Accidentally-Correct Writing: "When Things Get Out Of Hand" featured an approximation of an Amazon Echo Studio smart speaker, with references to Amazon's digital assistant "Alexa" being bland-named to "Solexa". However, "Solexa" is also the name of a British DNA-sequencing lab. For the episode's remake, "Lost and Phoned", Alexa is still called "Solexa" in the Japanese audio and closed captioning, but the English subtitles refer to it "LOLexa" instead, which also helps to translate a pun in the bland-name.^note Solexa -> ソレクサ -> それ草 -> That's LOL
• Incidental Multilingual Wordplay: In "Free Real Estate", Mel limply tries to escape a Vampire Hunter Fubuki by claiming that she’s not a vampire, but an umpire. Since both of these words are English loanwords in the first place, the joke still works perfectly well with subtitles.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes:
  • A majority of the earlier episodes were privated on the official hololive channel due to having objects belonging to other companies (eg. Episode 29, "When Things Get Out of Hand"(Note: BilliBilli reupload with Chinese hard-subs), featured a Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Disk and a Splatoon pillow). The only way to view them is through third-party uploaders.
  • In the case of "Fasting for a Month", the episode's ending shows a homage to Ultraman. However, Tsuburaya Productions has a notorious complicated history over copyright with Ultraman, and thus, the original episode had to be privated.
• No Dub for You: Thus far, the series is exclusively available in Japanese with official subtitles for various languages, and this is unlikely to change (as well as pretty justified).
  • This becomes especially amusing when ID and EN members made their debut and they are still using their original language when talking with Japanese-speaking members.
• Playing Against Type: It's fairly common to see some of the talents playing against their usual personalities, but they are able to masterfully pull it off. Sora for example is a Nice Girl, but briefly played against it where she is the Comedic Sociopathy character (and outright emulating Suisei Hochimachi, who is a notorious Memetic Psychopath in episode 249), and of course, it's Played for Laughs.
• Playing Their Own Twin: In The Quintessential, Lui plays all five of herself.
• Real Life Writes the Plot: Following the announcement of Coco Kiryu's graduation, her final appearance has her encouraging her Generation 4 friends to continue without her and saying her goodbyes.
