- Amateur Cast: Many of the cast members for Hip Hop Harry had no other acting credits. Among them, Harry's voice actor Ali Alimi's only other credits are for other Hip Hop Harry material and as an editor for some kids' videos. Averted slightly with David "Barney" Joyner (Harry's suit actor) and future Disney Channel star Kelli Berglund.
- Colbert Bump: Those unfamiliar with the series learned about it from a "What the Kids Are Watching" segment of The Soup featuring an episode clip criticizing its eccentric premise, and later when the social media platform TikTok made it into a small meme in 2020.
- He Also Did: The actor that plays Hip Hop Harry physically, David Joyner, is also Barney the Dinosaur. Really.note
- I Want You to Meet an Old Friend of Mine: Apparently, Colton was already good friends with Savannah and Sophina before they got the show, as they were all part of the same dance crew, even making an appearance on Maury a couple of years before being part of hip Hop Harry,
- Real-Life Relative: Sisters Savannah and Sophia DeJesus are both part of the principal cast, and while each is a member of a different Cast Herd, they appear in a couple of episodes together. It's a plot point in one case.
- What Could Have Been: A promotional pic shows an earlier, less-polished build of Harry
