Trivia / Hecksing Ulumate Crconikals

• Creator's Pest: Great Pikmin Fan/NeedsMoreDeepWater seriously hates Parody Stu Carl Stevens, considering him a very dated joke on Charlie Sheen that had long since lost relevancy, when Water had since decided he wanted his writing to be more timeless. Water also felt that him trying to make Carl intentionally obnoxious had Gone Horribly Right, creating a character that actively sucks out the enjoyment of the story thanks to his spotlight hogging and terrible pervy personality. It's telling that despite being one of the main characters of the original Ulumate, Hecksing Ultimate Chronicles demotes him from main character and instead just has him get killed off after only saying two sentences, which was Pip's exact fate in the original in a form of meta karma. It is also unsurprising that the following chapter brings him back as a familiar just to portray him as a pathetic, weak coward and having him die again from Jan's holy nuke attack.
• Development Gag: (Giant Mutant) Homer's rampage of New York is based on a SBIG fic idea where Homer Simpson gets taken over by nuclear waste and becomes an evil giant. Word of God says he's not sure whether or not to go with the idea, especially since this pseudo crossover occured.
• What Could Have Been: Several details have changed, ranging from small scenes to entire character deaths/sparings. And yet, the base of the plot basically stayed the same from before the fic started to after it ended. To name some specifics:
  • The author had planned on actually sparing Zorin until the end of the fan fic. Then he planned on having Seras drink her blood and summon her as a familiar in the final chapter. A deleted scene of her role in the battle was even revealed in said chapter. Neither of these happened, and when she died, she stayed dead. A brief comment from the Captain hand-waved that the Millennium destroyed her body as she died close to their headquarters and they didn't want her to be absorbed by any of Hecksing's forces.
  • The Millennium were originally not going to be called "Millennium" in this fic, just "The Nazis." Oddly, they're rarely refered to as Nazis.
  • At some point, the ending was considered to be a Gainax one. Directly following the actual ending, Pip comes out of nowhere, reveals both that he survived Carl's spaceship BECAUSE HE'S PIP, DAMMIT and that he's part of a group that fights Mary Sues and Gary Stues. Carl implies that Pip's death was not an accident, then he morphs into Charlie Sheen himself, Pip also exposes that his eyepatch was covering a Sharingan, and the two fight until Carl is killed by a train. Following this, the story turns into something with more legitamate writing, and Rip and Captain instantly turn back evil again. However, the author decided to just end the story at everyone laughing at Hecksing naked.
  • Going to Dawn, Fan stated that there was going to be a part where Kamina was working at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, running out of power a few minutes before 6 AM, and having to fight Freddy in hand-to-hand combat. He would get fired for either tampering with Freddy, or "trying to hump him" based on what it looked like. That same post also reveals:
  • Alucard's familiars (Blondula, the elemental four, etc) were to make an appearance in the final chapter one last time before being blown up by Jan in HUC proper, but the way it actually turned out heavily discouraged it.
  • Kaitana would have died at some point.
  • Cortana wasn't planned to be added until shortly before ending the third chapter (or, at least GPF called her a "split-second addition"), and she was planned to be out of commission longer in chapter 5.
  • Everyone was going to inexplicably like the in-universe Creator's Pet Itachi, except Kamina, who would serve as the Only Sane Man for the chapter. But he thought that would be crossing into the kind of comedy he doesn't like writing, so he toned down Itachi's ability and actually made it an ability, so by the end there's still three additional people who don't like him.
