- Follow the Leader: Hebereke no Popoon is one of the earliest Puyo Puyo clones, releasing in the two-year gap between Puyo Puyo (1992) and the far-more-influential Puyo Puyo 2.
- No Export for You: The original game was never officially released in America; it did get released in Europe under the Ufouria name. However, it has gotten releases in America on the Virtual Console for the Wii, 3DS, and Wii U under the Hebereke name, so it did eventually avert this situation. The same can't be said for the rest of the series, though.
- What Could Have Been: Hebereke's Pair Pair Wars was going to be a Neo Geo Hebereke game with the gameplay of Shanghai.
