- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Neither this game nor its revisions have been re-released in any significant capacity. The PC version has been seen floating around some abandonware sites, but other than that, your only real options are the second-hand market or emulation. It's especially egregious nowadays as every other installment (XX, Xrd, -STRIVE-, and even the original Missing Link) have been released on/ported to modern platforms (or, at the very least, can be found on Steam)
- No Export for You: Only the original PlayStation 2 version and Advance Edition were released outside of Japan.
- Posthumous Credit: Kaneto Shiozawa died on May 10, 2000, roughly two months before Guilty Gear X was released in Japan.
- The Other Darrin: Some returning characters were recast for this game:
- Potemkin is voiced by Takashi Kondo instead of Hideyuki Anbe.
- Kondo also voices Faust, succeeding the late Kaneto Shiozawa.
- Chipp is voiced by Takeshi Miura instead of Takuya Moritou.
- Baiken is voiced by Miho Sudo instead of Satomi Koorogi.
- Testament is voiced by Akira Kobayashi instead of Takami Akkun.
- Potemkin is voiced by Takashi Kondo instead of Hideyuki Anbe.
