Trivia / Gravity Falls S2 E15 "The Last Mabelcorn"

• Troubled Production: Originally, the crew wanted to make a Wendy-focused episode. When it was clear that the story they had wasn't working, Alex Hirsch had to write the script for this episode in two days, which is why he has sole credit for its script.
• What Could Have Been:
  • This episode replaced a Wendy episode that wasn't working, which involved her relationship with her family. At some point, Wendy gained weather manipulation powers. One of the reasons it was scrapped was because the craziness contrasted poorly with Wendy as a down-to-earth character. Plus, Frozen (2013) had recently come out, when they were writing the episode.
  • The girls' fight with the unicorns was fully animated, but was removed last-minute to save time, resulting in a Smash Cut to Dipper right before the fight even begins.
