• Blooper: Stan was banned from New Jersey, but on the map showing the states he's banned from, New Jersey was not crossed out.
• What Could Have Been: According to the commentary, this episode was one of the most rewritten ones in the entire series.
  • The whole episode taking place underground while hiding from the government agents wasn't the original idea. It was only decided upon after the crew felt it wasn't really believable for the Stan twins to tell their entire life story unless they were in a trapped position.
  • There were multiple versions of what caused the rift between Stan and Ford before they decided something related to their academic differences would be the best.
  • It was attempted to include Wendy into the group listening to the story, but they could never find a way to organically fit her in, so it was settled for Soos to just phone her at the end.
