Trivia / Gen¹³: The Movie

Go To

  • Channel Hop: Intended to be released through Touchstone Pictures, was instead released by Paramount (internationally only).
  • Executive Meddling: The film's lengthy development cycle contributed to its never being released in the US. While it started when Wild Storm was an Image imprint, by the time it was done, Wildstorm had been sold to DC — who were in turn owned by TimeWarner. Disney had no interest in promoting a rival's franchise, and Warner had no interest in seeing merchandising revenue go to Disney, thus the film was never officially released in the US.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Sadly the only way to watch the film is either on YouTube or by finding it online somewhere, due to it not being released in the United States.
  • Short Run in Peru: It was released on VHS in PAL format in Australia and NTSC in the Phillipines. Never released on DVD (aside from some VHS-ripped bootlegs).
