• Milestone Celebration: Full Clip: A Decade of Gang Starr was created to celebrate Gang Starr as we know them being active for 10 whole years. The album features some of their best hits up to that point, as well as some new material such as the Title Track.
• Troubled Production: It took nearly a decade for Premo and Guru's family to get One of The Best Yet off the ground, mainly due to a bitter legal battle between them and DJ Solar, who was Guru's musical partner from 2005 until his death. Solar also claimed that Guru briefly woke up from his coma to write his last wishes, which infamously cut Premier out of his legacy. However, Premier, Guru's family, and his oncologist disputed the validity of the letter, stating Guru never woke up from his coma, and that it would've been impossible for him to write it.
