• Accidentally-Correct Writing: At one point, Ash makes an offhand comment about 'Romans and their pyramids'. Turns out there actually are ancient Roman pyramids.
• Referenced by...:
  • The comic Army of Darkness Vs. Hack/Slash #1 has a cameo by Jason Voorhees during a page showing various events in Ash's life. Also Ash wears the same black leather jacket he was seen wearing in the first Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Ash series throughout the Hack/Slash crossover.
  • The events of this series are brought up by Claptrap in Poker Night 2, since Ash is a featured character in that game.
• Sequel in Another Medium: A meta example. It was originally meant as film sequel to Freddy vs Jason, but was shelved for various reasons. The script was already written by that point however and Dynamite comics offered to draw it, turning it into a mini-series.
• What Could Have Been:
  • The story started out as a script for a movie bringing the three horror icons together but the rights holders couldn't agree (allegedly over the idea of Ash killing the two horror villains) so the project was scrapped.
  • One early plot involved the parents of all of Freddy and Jason's victims raising money so they can hire Ash to hunt them down.
