• Acting for Two: Adam Driver, the actor who plays Jake, also provides the voice of "Rederick LaMancha".
  • In addition, most of the puppeteers working on the film play two or more characters.
• California Doubling: The Las Vegas scenes were actually shot in Los Angeles.
  • Averted for the New York and Toronto scenes, which were filmed in those actual cities.
• Development Hell: A Fraggle Rock feature film had been in the works since 2005!
• Looping Lines: Given the advanced age of Dave Goelz during the film's production, his characters were operated on-set by other puppeteers (Tim Lagasse played Boober, Drew Massey as Uncle Matt, etc.), with Goelz dubbing their voices in post-production.
• The Other Darrin: Several:
  • Donna Kimball and Alice Dinnean replace Kathryn Mullen as Mokey and Cotterpin Doozer, respectively.
  • Andy Hayward takes over as Wembley from Steve Whitmire. Sprocket, another Whitmire character, is now voiced by Ryan Dillon, the current performer of Elmo from Sesame Street.^note  Dillon's predecessor as Elmo, Kevin Clash, puppeteered Sprocket on-set.
  • John Tartaglia succeeds the late Jerry Nelson as Gobo.
  • Tyler Bunch replaces the late Richard Hunt as the voice of Junior Gorg, as does John Kennedy to Nelson as Pa Gorg.
  • Hunt's other major character, Gunge, is voiced now by David Rudman.
  • Peter Linz voices Marjory the Trash Heap, another Jerry Nelson character.
  • Bill Barretta plays Cantus the Minstrel, a character originally performed by the late Jim Henson, in his brief cameo.
  • Martin P. Robinson voices Convincing John, Henson's other character.
• Role Reprise: Karen Prell, Dave Goelz and most of the Canadian Muppet performers from the series return to play their characters.
• Two Voices, One Character: In a live-action example, both Dylan and Cole Sprouse play Nate Shimmelfinney, alternating as the character in each scene in which he is featured.
