Trivia / Fiddler's Three

Go To

  • Creator Backlash: Peter Davison has admitted that whilst the cast was good and he had fun doing it, it was also what he felt was the start of his "dark decade" and he disliked the fact that it was filmed in front of a studio audience.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: Never released on home media or streaming, several episodes are up on Youtube in varying quality, but not all of them.
  • Money, Dear Boy: Peter Davison admits that part of the lure of making Fiddler's Three was to provide a way to pay for the mortgage debt and interest on unpaid tax for his house.
  • Self-Remake: Eric Chappell recycled many of the scripts he used for his 1970s sitcom The Squirrels into this sitcom.
  • What Could Have Been: Peter Davison had an availability check for the role of Gordon Brittas in The Brittas Empire, but was pressed by Yorkshire into taking the role of Ralph in this sitcom. Presumably, if he had been chosen to become Brittas, a different actor would have taken the role.
