Trivia / Farewell to Nostradamus

Go To

  • In Memoriam: A dedication to Yasuo Yamada, the original voice of Lupin, appears after the ending credits.
    • Discotek's Blu-Ray release of the film keeps the original dedication to Yamada from the film proper and includes it at the end of the production credits, alongside the Memoriam for Monkey Punch.
  • The Other Darrin: Kanichi Kurita became the fifth actor to voice Arsene Lupin III beginning with this film. Yasuo Yamada died of a brain hemorrhage shortly before the film could be recorded, and he'd asked TMS to give Kurita the role if anything happened to him (Kurita had won a Lupin soundalike contest where Yamada was one of the judges).
    • As an example of just how close to release Yamada died, he had cut some teasers for the film early in 1995, at least one mentioning its release date. These were among his very last work as Lupin.
  • Sequel Gap: 10 years between this and the previous theatrical Lupin film, Legend of the Gold of Babylon.
