Trivia / Fabula Nova Crystallis: Final Fantasy

• Stillborn Franchise: The "Lightning Saga" became its own thing with the success of Final Fantasy XIII, XV became its own sub-series and heavily downplayed connections to XIII to make it stand on its own, and Type-0 had its own take on ideas like the l'Cie and fal'Cie that differ significantly from XIII, and the long wait for a localization dulled interest in it in the West, especially since marketing was focusing on XV once Type-0 HD came out. The result is that instead of three connected titles that each do their own take on a common mythology, we got three separate titles that each spawned their own sub-series and they only have tangental connections to one another.
