Trivia / Exile Election

• Follow the Leader:
  • The game has been heavily based on and clearly borrows from several of the major titles of the "mystery visual novel" genre, a Deadly Game filled with colorful characters that are being forced to play it are stuck in a strange place.
    • On an interesting note, Exile Election seems to take a page from DR's mythological prototype, Distrust. The player has the right to choose who will be the one to die in each election, with the order of deaths influencing how the survivors interact. The relationships the player builds with others (legitimate friendship, manipulative or even to destroy someone psychologically) are important to the story, as all these were ideas on Distrust that never made it to the final game.
  • The art style takes from Steins;Gate, particularly the style and the coloring techniques. The monsters seem almost a Shout-Out to the witches of Puella Magi Madoka Magica, since they are animated and colored in almost the same way.
