  • Release Date Change: The game was originally set to be released in 2020, but had to be pushed back to 2021 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic forcing the production studio to transition to working from home.
  • Role Reprise: James Hannigan, the composer of the first game's music, returns as the second game's composer.
  • Sequel Gap: 16 years passed since the first game was released and the original developer Elixir Studios shut down in 2005 before the second entry was announced in 2019, but there were still two Facebook games in between them kept the IP alive.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • The announcement trailer for the game suggested the use of elevators to move to the different floors of the lair, instead of using stairs.
    • One of the gameplay trailers suggested that Super Agents could be distracted in the casino. In the final game, Super Agents are incapable of being distracted.
    • Both the Red Ivan and Release Date trailers suggested that the game would allow you to recruit 6-8 henchmen. The final game only has the player limited to five.
