- Accidentally-Correct Writing: The "cat flu" seems like a reference to the feral cats Disneyland keeps on its property as a form of pest control, except Randy Moore never alludes to this in his interview to Esquire, instead attributing this idea to the contemporary "bird flu" and the vague implication that Cats Are Mean and the nemesis of Mickey Mouse.
- Box Office Bomb: Technically, since it still couldn't make it back to its budget of $650,000 (its final total is $171,962) and Disney realized that speaking out against it would only attract attention to the film; even if they knew about the film being made in their parks and then edited in South Korea, they kept quiet, and it faded into bargain bins across the nation.
- Cowboy BeBop at His Computer:
- The Other Woman claims that the turkey legs are actually made from emus. Some Jerk with a Camera ran the numbers and discovered that in order to do this, the Disney corporation would have to annually raise and slaughter more emus than actually exist in Australia, their native continent. This is actually based on a semi-popular Urban Legend that Disney's been accused of for years that has since been proven to be false. The reason Disney's turkey legs are the size they are is because they're taken from male turkeys, whereas the turkeys you can buy in the supermarket are usually female.
- The opening decapitation scene. While people have been injured on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and two have diednote , it's physically impossible to get beheaded.
- Creator Backlash: While he only played a small role near the end, Trevor McCune did not think it was worth sitting through two hours of Mind Screw for his parents and girlfriend to see him in a movie. Furthermore, he didn't have nice things to say about the film in general when cameoing in Some Jerk with a Camera's review.
- Dawson Casting: The unnamed, recurring French girls are explicitly supposed to be teenagers, but were performed by actresses in their 20s, probably due to some of the questionably sexy material they were expected to do being impossible to film otherwise.
- No Budget: Final budget was around $650,000, chump change in Hollywood.
- One-Book Author: To date, Randy Moore has not directed another film, and seems to have vanished off the face of the Earth
- Streisand Effect:
- Many suspect Disney's awareness of this phenomenon is the reason the notoriously copyright-protective and criticism-averse company never went after the film; starting a lawsuit would just drum up publicity for it, so they took a "don't feed the troll" approach. They did, however, give it a mention in their book Disney A to Z: The Official Encyclopedia and its online counterpart on the D23 website, where the film has its own entry. AniMat even sang a song about it.
- It seems that the filmmakers were actually counting on this in order to form the publicity and marketing they couldn't afford (the final budget for the film was estimated to be a mere $650,000). Director Randy Moore often played up in interviews how he believed Disney would react on release, and the film's official website even had a running clock reading "X Many Days Without Being Sued By Disney". Unfortunately for them, Disney didn't take the bait, and the film faded.
- Troubled Production: Moore and company had to be very careful about filming in the parknote . They shot the film using DSLRs (which resemble many regular cameras tourists use), while the actors kept their scripts on their iPhones, and they had to deal with logistical issues including being unable to control the natural lighting and weather, and having to work around the audio so it wouldn't pick up any copyrighted music playing in the background. Moore went so far as to edit the film in South Korea (with visual effects by the same company that did The Host (2006)) to avoid attracting Disney's attention. The more complete story can be found here.
- Word of Saint Paul: Trevor McCune claimed that Moore indicated to him that Jim was entering Heaven in the ending, since he was directed to behave as if he was a "gatekeeper" and knew more than he let on.
