  • DVD Commentary: In the Developer's Cut, at points in the game you'd come across a bubble, and when activating it would get to hear one of the designers talk about the level you're in/enemies you're fighting/scene you're about to see etc etc.
  • He Also Did: The makers of this game and its sequel would later go on to develop Wolfenstein: The New Order, including its sequels and spinoffs, such as The Old Blood, The New Colossus, and Youngblood.
  • Sleeper Hit: Just like in case of Pitch Black, nobody was expecting much out of it. Upon release it was widely considered to be nothing more than a tie-in to a The Chronicles of Riddick, which was widely panned. But within few weeks after the premiere, the game became one of the most praised releases of 2004 and a massive financial success. It's also considered to be one of the prime examples of No Problem with Licensed Games.
  • What Could Have Been: This game was originally going to be called Pitch Black.
    • Riddick was going to have a different voice actor before Vin Diesel came in, as shown in this prototype.
    • As also seen in the prototype above, the inmates, Riddick included, were barefooted.
    • Abbot was also originally supposed to carry an electric whip, but this idea was scrapped, possibly because it was difficult to implement.
    • There was also going to be a driving sequence where riddick stops to pick up fuel, only to be captured by Johns again.
