Trivia / Epic Rap Battle Parodies

• Approval of God: Both Chris Bores and Doug Walker saw "Angry Video Game Nerd vs The Irate Gamer" and liked it.
  • Drake Bell also saw "Drake and Josh vs The Blues Brothers" and expressed approval.
• Black Sheep Hit: "Slenderman vs Jeff the Killer", "Eyeless Jack vs Laughing Jack", "Freddy Krueger vs Jason Voorhees", and "Jigsaw vs GLaDOS" are all among their most viewed and well-known episodes, despite having a much darker and creepier tone than most of their other battles.
• Creator Backlash: Many people who used to work on the series (and even some of those who still do) hate their earlier battles. As an example, RLYoshi said that it was fun while he was working on them, but ever since leaving he's found his acting and rapping in those battles particularly cringeworthy.
• Schedule Slip: They fall into this on occasion.
• Troubled Production / Development Hell: The series finale "Justin vs Zander vs Nathan" went through this to the point where it ultimately ended up being unfinished.
  • Saved from Development Hell: Although a former crew member named "Jake MSV" decided to upload what they got finished of it around mid-2018.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Steve vs Joe was originally going to end with Steve waking up from a drug overdose, having hallucinated the battle as well as the entirety of Blue's Clues itself.
  • There were several battles that were planned/going to happen but were either scrapped or never ended up being finished or released, including among numerous others "Sheldon Cooper vs The Doctor", "McDonald's vs Burger King", and a royale between characters representing the seven deadly sins.
