- Christmas Rushed: The game was rushed so its release would coincide with The Matrix Reloaded, leading to its infamy as an Obvious Beta.
- Enforced Method Acting: During a talkshow with Conan O'Brien, Jada Pinkett Smith said that her kiss scene with Monica Bellucci was real — as in an actual kiss. This was deliberate on Monica's part in order to, according to Jada, "give [the audience] something to watch". Although initially taken aback, Jada admitted it was one of the best onscreen kisses she did.
- What Could Have Been:
- The game was originally intended to have a multiplayer mode where players could fight against each other. They weren't able to properly finish this in time for release, but it can be unlocked through the hacking minigame.
- An unfinished in-game cutscene can be found in the files of the PC version of the game. The cutscene has Neo talking to Niobe and Ghost after the freeway chase. It was likely cut due to lack of time, as Neo's model is unfinished and will crash the game if shadows are enabled, and his voice acting is...not great.
- The Weapon Profiles for Weapons show alternative versions of them with attachments and configurations not available in-game.
