- Colbert Bump: The "horse doggy door" commercial has millions of views on Youtube, when it really is for Amazon Prime.
- Dear Negative Reader: On every public forum that the book has been discussed, Boutin has taken this stance, claiming that those who dislike his work are either jealous folks playing mind games, or evil atheists persecuting him for being a man of faith.
- Extremely Lengthy Creation: According to Norman himself, the book took more than a decade to finish, with its actual creation time being anywhere from 20 years to 40 years.
- Real Life Writes the Plot: In the original edition, the only exception to Theresa's Loved by All status is the press, who seethe with frustration because Theresa is so gosh-darn perfect that they can't dig up any dirt on her. As Boutin's own online notoriety spread, later editions include jealous internet trolls among Theresa's only haters.
- Technology Marches On:
- Theresa's call to liberate North Korea is delivered to her via a VHS tape. While this is plausible that someone might have an old tape lying around and have not converted it to a DVD, what clinches it is the fact that Theresa has a VCR, despite there being no indication that Theresa is the sort of person who would own a VCR in The New '10s.
- Theresa is also asked if she can get helium so that Dirigibles can be used to survey terrorists. Dirigibles were barely even considered usable even in World War II - and have been used for commercial purposes ever since.
- Gatling Guns are also mentioned despite the book taking place in presumably The New '10s. However, this could be Norman referring to a type of gun as a gatling gun, rather than an actual model.
- What Could Have Been: Norman said in an interview that this book started out as a story about a stand-in for Tonya Harding who uses her Psychic Powers to get revenge on her accusers. This was scrapped because Norman believed no one could relate to a famous athlete, and because psychic powers aren't real.
