• Descended Creator: Series creators Steve Walters and Erik Archilla voice Robert Todd Lincoln and Samuel O’Laughlen respectively. Executive producer Lindsay Graham voices Abraham Lincoln. Director Robert McCollum voiced Senator John Bingham.
• Life Imitates Art: It has been noted that Jeremy Schwartz and R. Bruce Elliott bear more than a passing resemblance to Edwin Stanton and Andrew Johnson.
• Production Posse: Many of the voice actors were recruited from, and previously worked together at, Funimation. Lindsay Graham and Robert McCollum had previously collaborated on the audio drama podcast Terms.
• Shown Their Work: The creators put quite a bit of attention to historical accuracy. There is occasionally a bit of artistic lisence for the sake of better plot flow and story, but overall the podcast remains incredibly faithful to the historical record. Each episode is accompanied by a bonus episode that goes into the real history behind the podcast.
  • This also applies to the soundscaping. The audio production team took pains to include as many of the sorts of the ambient sounds, that one would expect to hear in 19th Century Washington DC, as possible.
