  • Disowned Adaptation: Gustave Eiffel's great-great-grandson Philippe Coupérie-Eiffel (who's sort of a keeper of the memory of his ancestor, he wrote books and gives history conferences) was furious about the film. He didn't like the amount of liberties taken with history and sent a letter to the producers about this, asking them to add a "Romanticized Fiction" mention in the opening credits.
  • Troubled Production: Filming was stopped for three months in 2020 due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
  • Underage Casting:
    • Romain Duris, then-46, as the 55-57 year old Gustave Eiffel.
    • Real Life Adrienne Bourgès was around 18 in 1858 when she met Gustave Eiffel, which would make her 47-49 in 1887-1889. She was played by 24 year old Emma Mackey in the latter years.
