• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Following the shutdown of the original site, several archives have popped up to preserve the comics.
• Missing Episode: Due to technical problems, some cartoons lost a bunch of captions in the archiving process. Numbers 52, 420 and 421 in particular lost so many that they had to be left out of the archive entirely. The yellow and red zone captions were deliberately not carried over to the archive; this page gives a glimpse of these zones.
• Older Than They Think: The concept for new captions on Family Circus pictures date from the mid eighties on zines.
• Screwed by the Lawyers: That King Features Syndicate would send a "cease and desist" letter to Galcik was something he had expected for a long while. Due to Bil Keane having previously mentioned that he didn't really mind the DFC's existence, the initial scuttlebutt was that KFS wanted to eliminate competition from their official Family Circus site and Galcik began preparing a legal counter-defense. However, it turned out that Keane had a change of heart regarding the DFC and was the one behind the C&D letter; one phone call to Keane later, Galcik had his own change of heart and took the site down.
