Trivia / Dweller's Empty Path

• What Could Have Been: One of the "Extras" folders is dedicated to Temmie's abandoned projects, featuring Concept Art, assets, and short descriptions explaining what they were and why they never saw the light of day. These include:
  • A game set in the same kingdom, only with a much more detailed, colourful pixel art style. Apparently, Temmie realised the assets she'd made for it were the wrong dimensions for RPGMaker and put the project on hold until she was more confident with the engine, but never got back to it.
  • A Deliberately Monochrome game focused on Claire. This one got much further along in development and Temmie admits she doesn't remember why she scrapped it, but that most of what she planned to cover in it ended up in Dweller's Empty Path anyway.
  • Another animated short in the vein of Dwellers of the Mountain's Forest named The Witch's Favor, showing how Claire and Yoki first met and ended up living together. Ultimately, it never got past some early animatics due to a lack of motivation.
  • Temmie also mentions that there are other projects she never finished, but since they contain spoilers for the ongoing plotline she's opted to not release information on them yet.
