• Hypothetical Casting: For characters who appear in this fanfic but not the canon series, Word of God gives the following hypothetical castings:
  • Due to Tino Insana's death in 2017, Corey Burton is the new voice of Bushroot in the fic.
  • With "Tales of the Duck Twins" and "Save the Queen" starting writing before "New Gods on the Block!" and "The Fight for Castle McDuck!" aired, Matilda and Hades are voiced by Elizabeth Olsen and Mark Hamill respectively here instead of their canon voice actors Michelle Gomez and Chris Diamantopoulos. It would be retroactively changed later though with Gomez and Diamantopoulos being credited as them in "Tales of the Duck Twins" and "Save the Queen" after "New Gods on the Block!" and "The Fight for Castle McDuck!" aired.
  • Bret Iwan as Mickey though it was retroactively changed to Chris Diamantopoulos from Mickey Mouse (2013)
  • Bill Farmer as Pluto
  • Russi Taylor until "The Trickening" and Kaitlyn Robrock for the rest of the series as Minnie
  • Jim Cummings as Pete
  • Corey Burton as Merlock (previously voicing him in the game Donald Duck: Goin' Qu@ckers) until it was retroactively changed to Christopher Lloyd (doubles as The Original Darrin from DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp) in the Deviantart upload.
  • Susanne Blakeslee as Maleficent
  • Joe Ochman as Jiminy Cricket
  • Any characters that have exclusively appeared in Legend of the Three Caballeros and Kingdom Hearts that appear in this fic retain their original voice actors.
    • The Deviantart reupload would give April, May, and June their own individual voice actors to better accommodate their emphasized individual personalities here. While Jessica DiCicco still voices April, May's hypothetical voice is Katie Crown and June's hypothetical voice is Natalie Palamides.
• In Memoriam: The second revision of "The Shadows War!" is dedicated in memory of Keiji Fujiwara, the Japanese voice actor for Axel and Lea.
  • The Deviantart upload of the movie contains a dedication to Queen Elizabeth II.
• Outdated by Canon: Due to starting writing during the hiatus between seasons 2 and 3, a fair amount of details and characters diverge differently than how season 3 handles them:
  • Donald and Daisy now have known each other since childhood rather while the canon series has them not meeting until season 3's "Louie's Eleven!".
  • Donald and Della's first adventure is told in "Tales of the Duck Twins" much differently than what the show would give with "The First Adventure!".
  • Chip and Dale have already existed for years whereas in the canon series, they were created by Black Heron's intelligence ray in "Double O Duck in You Only Crash Twice!".
  • One of the chapters has Beakley comment on having a husband and Webby having parents which would be contradicted by "The Last Adventure!" revealing Webby was actually a clone of Scrooge the entire time.
  • Dewey and Webby's romantic relationship would definitely not work in canon, thanks to the series finale revealing Webby is Scrooge's clone daughter meaning she would be Dewey's first cousin once removed. That part of the original series has been retconned to avoid this implication.
  • April, May, and June appear as Daisy's nieces based on their Legend of the Three Caballeros portrayals rather than May and June being clones of Webby (who is actually April) in the canon series.
