- Dueling Dubs: In Japan, there's two dubbed versions: The VHS version, which use a very different cast from the dubs of the non-Special Edition versions of the original trilogy, and the DVD version, which use the current official voice cast from the Special Edition versions.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Given Disney's ditching of the "Legends" EU material, it was unknown if we'd ever see another home media release (along with Ewoks). However, Disney+ added it on June 18, 2021.
- Out of Order: "The Great Heep" was the last episode to air, even though it introduced the hero of the already completed 4th arc, Mungo Baobab and explained how he was introduced to the droids.

- Technology Marches On: At one point in The Great Heep, a background droid is seen listening to what looks very much like an '80s-era Walkman.
- Wag the Director: Anthony Daniels would rewrite his dialogue if he felt it was out of character for C-3PO to say.
