Trivia / Drama (Yes Album)

Go To

  • Promoted Fanboy: Both Geoffrey Downes and Trevor Horn were fans of the band before being asked to join.
  • What Could Have Been:
    • While Jon Anderson considered Drama very different from his own conceptions of Yes, he was open to performing some of its songs live with the band during his second and third tenures as lead singer. Ultimately though his suggestions to do so were all turned down. Chris Squire did incorporate the bass riff from "Tempus Fugit" into his "Whitefish" live solo spot, as captured on the 1985 9012Live: The Solos album.
    • Part of the reason that the band broke up was the tour after the album, where UK fans weren't massively happy with how Trevor Horn sung the older material, which hurt his voice to the point where he could barely sing by the end of the tour. If the songs had been transposed down to fit Horn's vocal range, then it's entirely possible this lineup could've got past the initial backlash and continued.
