- Celebrity Voice Actor: In the Japanese version, Luceus is voiced by model/actor Tori Matsuzaka (who is perhaps best known for portraying Takeru Shiba/Shinken Red in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger) and Aurora is voiced by fashion model/actress/news anchor Mirei Kiritani.
- Children Voicing Children: In the English dub, Healix is played by Harry Collett, who was 11 years old at the time of the game's international release.
- No Export for You: Played with; the Sony PlayStation 4 version is released in Europe and North America, but the Sony PlayStation 3 version remains Japan-exclusive. This is actually not causing too much friction as the Playstation 4 version is almost comically superior to its seventh-generation counterpart from a technical perspective, not to mention the PS3 brand in general being on its last legs even at the time of its release.
- Sadly played straight with the Compilation Re-release on Nintendo Switch, which has yet to leave Japan.
- The Other Darrin: Jaimi Barbakoff replaced Emma Ferguson as the English voice of Jessica Albert.
- Role Reprise: In the English dub, Ricky Grover reprises his role as Yangus from Dragon Quest VIII.
