- What Could Have Been
- The animation studio behind How To Have a Bright Smile originally pitched a Dr. Rabbit short that would've been pirate-themed, according to some pre-production sketches they shared on their blog. A design for Dr. Brushwell in the How To Have a Bright Smile art style was also shown, as she was absent from the final product.
- Preproduction sketches for Adventures in the Molar System show Dr. Rabbit wearing wizard robes and wielding a magic staff akin to Gandalf from The Lord of the Rings, indicating a more fantasy-driven short than the sci-fi route that would be taken instead.
