- California Doubling: The movie is set in Europe (the UK and Belgium specifically), but it was shot almost entirely in Hollywood studios. A few scenes were shot on location in Belgium, but using doubles for Elvis and Annette Day.
- What Could Have Been: The movie was initially going to be a vehicle for Julie Christie, who would play the protagonist, but executives preferred to make another Elvis Presley flick and ordered that the part be rewritten to suit him.
