  • Colbert Bump: If you weren't one of the rare few people who picked the game up while it was out, you probably heard of it from either The Runaway Guys or Game Grumps.
  • Keep Circulating the Tapes: As only two of the games in the main series (Kingdom and Journey) have been localized and were not very popular at the time, it has become incredibly difficult to find and obtain copies of either. Many of the remaining copies can only be found on auction sites and sell for ludicrous amounts, typically for a few hundred USD. It doesn't help that the infamous playthrough of Kingdom from The Runaway Guys created awareness for the series. This problem was finally alleviated in 2023 with the release of a modern port of Kingdom.
  • Posthumous Credit: Keiji Fujiwara passed away on April 12, 2020, but he managed to reprise his role and finish the voicework for Haku in Dokapon UP! Mugen no Roulette, released eight months after Fujiwara's passing.
  • Sequel First: Monster Hunter, Kingdom, and Journey came out in the West before any of the games before or between them.
  • Sequel Gap: The series went dormant after Journey for 12 years until the release of Dokapon UP! Mugen no Roulette, a Crossover with the Utawarerumono series, in 2020.
  • Swan Song: Keiji Fujiwara's reprise as Haku in Dokapon UP! Mugen no Roulette was his final role before his passing on 2020.
