- Cross-Dressing Voices: Mike DeBonis is the voice of Kung Pao. Kung speaks almost entirely in kiais, so it isn't noticable.
- Memorial Character: The last character to be released with the initial version of the game was Kenny, who was based on the deceased brother of a backer during the Kickstarter campaign. Kenny was made a Ditto Fighter because of how the backer's brother loved to always use random select in fighting games.
- The Other Darrin: Andres Velasco y Coll voices Johnny Gat in this game, making this game the only time he isn't voiced by Daniel Dae Kim.
- Promoted Fanboy: This is what led to Adam Heart's promotion, as after working with Iron Galaxy to develop and publish this game, he became a full-time combat designer at Iron Galaxy for Killer Instinct (2013).
