- Cross-Dressing Voices:
- Voice actress Kahoru Sasajima provides the voice of Zed in Japanese. In the English dub, meanwhile, he is played by Brandon Winckler, who is non-binary.
- One of the hololive DLC characters includes Flare Shinarui as the otherwise male Psychic generic.
- No Dub for You: Regardless of what language you play the game, the hololive units always speak Japanese.
- No Export for You: The game is notably a Nintendo Switch exclusive for the West while leaving the PlayStation 4 version absent, though Japan gets to have it for both consoles. The PlayStation 4 and 5 versions, however, would eventually be released in the form of Disgaea 6 Complete.
- The Other Darrin:
- Mao, a Previous Player-Character Cameo DLC, was voiced by Vic Mignogna in all his previous appearances, but is voiced by Landon McDonald in this game, who has taken over all the roles Vic has done due to Vic's defamation issues.
- Adell, another Previous Player-Character Cameo DLC, is voiced by Austin Lee Matthews, rather than Todd Haberkorn.
- Screwed by the Lawyers: A very minor example. While she's still included in Disgaea 6 Complete, NIS America omitted Rushia's skin from the hololive DLC trailer, as the publisher wasn't allowed to advertise her character after her contract was terminated by Cover Corp due to her leaking confidential information outside of hololive.
