- New Work, Recycled Graphics: The first game used many of the assets found in Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne. It has many of its own assets as well, but many of the spells and demons originate from Nocturne.
- Promoted Fanboy: Yu Godai, the head writer of the game until her health problems, is a huge fan of the Megami Tensei series, so when she was offered to create a story for one of the games, she knew she couldn't pass it up.
- What Could Have Been: The game was originally planned to have a slightly different story, however the writer, Yu Godai, was forced to abandon the work due to illness and Atlus where left with trying to finish up the story on their own. Yu would continue the story after she recovered, however, which led to the Quantum Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner novels.
