Trivia / Dies Irae

Go To

  • Acting for Two: Kosuke Toriumi, Hitomi Nabatame, and Kei Mizusawa voices two (and in Toriumi's case, three) characters. I wonder why....
  • Actor Allusion: Jun'ichi Suwabe chose ‘Tom Kunoreezu' (in katakana) as his pseudonym while working on Dies Irae.
  • Dueling Shows: The anime adaptation will be airing in Fall 2017 through Crunchyroll, which will be the same time as Netflix's world premiere of Fate/Apocrypha.
  • Executive Meddling: As mentioned in the main page, this visual novel was originally planned to have only one route, but interest towards heroines that was originally planned to not have route surged after Light released artworks during development. As a result, Also Sprach Zarathustra had eight writers working on Kasumi and Marie routes. There was a considerable backlash after release that led to the release Acta est Fabula. It gets bad that Also Sprach Zarathustra did not even have a mention in the series portal site. Its' soundtrack and artbook are listed on the site, though.
  • Follow the Leader: Dies Irae is lights most popular visual novel by a wide margin. This has of course lead to some of their other writers taking cues from it such as with the Silverio series, as well as some outside of Light such as with the La'cryma Visal Novel Fortissimo EXA//Akkord:Bsusvier.
  • Meaningful Release Date: Acta est Fabula was first released on Christmas day, an important date in the story.
  • Word of God: In some comments by Masada, that blue sphere that the snakes are coiling around during the final confrontation in the novel? That is not Earth, but in fact the whole universe.
