Trivia:

  • Acting for Two:
    • During Port of Call: Hawaii, Gregg Turkington can be seen at Lanoi's bar as a patron, rather than his usual role as Agent Kington, when Decker performs "Values Under Attack". He also has a brief role in "Mindwipe" as a Louisiana cop who references Live and Let Die in a manner similar to Kington, even though they're separate characters.
    • Jack Decker Jr and Jason Davidson Jr are played by the same actors as their respective fathers.
  • The Cast Showoff: Tim gets time to sing, though likely done for parody.
    • An episode of Port of Call: Hawaii has him performing a song called Values Under Attack
    • Episode 5 of Decker Unclassified is meant to showcase Tim's band Dekkar, even featuring part of their music video for "Trigger Everything".
    • Episode 2 of Decker: Mindwipe has Tim doing a "Louisiana" styled arrangement of Dekkar's "Empty Bottle"
  • Channel Hop: Decker was originally released through YouTube though each season since with Decker: Unclassified has aired on the Adult Swim television channel.
  • Enforced Method Acting: The real Tim Heidecker has revealed that, to more accurately play the fictional Tim — an overconfident idiot who can barely remember or deliver his lines — as Decker, he doesn't rehearse or run through the script beforehand, and mostly relies on cue cards held from very far away that he can't quite read, resulting in a squinting, stammering, gaffe-prone and amateurish performance.
  • In Memoriam: Episode 5 of Decker Unclassified is dedicated to musicians who died in airplane disasters.
  • Sequel Gap: Defied; Unsealed airs its finale and Mindwipe takes place the week immediately afterward with no downtime in between seasons.
  • Troubled Production: Somewhat in universe in the context of OnCinema. Tim and Gregg clash over certain artistic choices, especially on Decker vs. Dracula as shown in a video Tim posts to explain why that season was cancelled. Given Tim and Gregg are acting in their On Cinema personas during the behind the scenes video, there's no indication there was legit trouble with the production of Decker.
  • Wag the Director: Tim released a video with behind the scene footage of Decker vs Dracula where he openly criticized Gregg's direction of that season. Tim gets so upset that he cancels the season after just 3 episodes even though Gregg wanted a 20 episode season. Considering this is done in their on cinema personas, this is likely a sort of in-universe example.
  • What Could Have Been: Gregg made a video showing what the ending of Decker vs. Dracula might have been like if it wasn't cancelled after three episodes.
