• Creator's Oddball: Agatha Christie's only work of historical fiction (though it's still a murder mystery).
• Executive Meddling: Christie wrote this book at the suggestion/dare of Stephen Glanville, who provided her with a great deal of background information on daily life in Ancient Egypt. He also strongly suggested she change the ending; Christie did so, and later regretted it, believing her unpublished, original ending was better. What that ending consisted of is unknown.
